I like to paint fast. If I am painting at the shore, I usually paint the clouds and the water and whatever is nearby. So on this day I was in the mood to paint in a minimalist, monochromatic style, in Peach. Or Melon. Out of that came the three paintings: Melon-Choly Ocean, Melon-Choly Lighthouse and this, “Skimming the Surf. So we will just call it the Melon series!
