You know by now that painting for me is about my experience putting down the paint. Think of it in this case like downhill skiing. It all happens very fast. Sometimes it is exhilarating and sometimes you – uh – crash. But this painting was one of the exhilarating ones! I layered down the dark grays and charcoal in an expressionist brush style and layered over the top in metallic/pearl whites and silver.
It all happens very fast and gives the painting its jour-de-vie!
